Wilder State Park

Is there nothing better than a hike or bike or ride in the park? Fresh air awaits.  In spring, wildflowers abound.  Cardio and muscle building in the park trumps any gym workout.

I backpack or run or ride my horses or my bike as often as I can. And for over 35 years I have enjoyed various activities in Wilder Ranch  State Park, and the fairly recently added Gray Whale State Park, including biking, hiking, horseback riding and even spelunking. I have come to love this little slice of heaven called Wilder State Park.  I hope you will too, and to help you enjoy it to it’s fullest,  I have created this website to help you. As you can see, I have just begun this website.  But,  I have a lot I want to put in these pages for you….directions, weather to expect, flora and fauna, trail tales, trail descriptions, etc etc etc.

I also will be filling these pages with lots of pics so you can see what you are in for!

Bookmark this page, and check back often.    I hope when you are ready for your next trip to Wilder, that I have the content up that you need!.

Shasta and I are enjoying Wilder's Eucalyptus Grove...a lovely spot with picnic tables to rest and snack at.
